How to Play

Play Chibi Hero online for free. Chibi Hero places you in the role of a tiny ninja fighting across 30 levels in 3 different worlds. Defeat the undead army and other monsters while collecting stars, coins, and lightning bolts. Get as high a score as you can in each level. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

Starting the Game

On the welcome screen, select New Game to begin.
- Selecting New Game again after playing the first time will clear your previous progress.
- To pick up where you left off, select Continue.
- Toggle the game’s audio via the sound button on the top right corner.
- Share the game with friends using the 2 social media buttons on the top left corner.
- Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including beat levels and level ratings.

      - Select the left and right buttons to run.
      - Select the up button to jump.
      - Select the attack button to attack.
      - Game Play
        Level selection
        The 30 levels of the game are divided into 3 worlds, each with 10 themed levels.
        Levels are unlocked in sequence. At the start, you only have access to the first level in the first world. After you beat all 10 levels in the first world it unlocks the first level in the second world.
        You can replay any level that you’ve already unlocked.
        Both your high score and your star rating are shown at the end of a level.
        Basic
        Reach the end of the level.
        Kill your enemies.
        Fire shuriken at them
        You only have a limited amount of shuriken (15 at the start).
        Collect sets of shuriken around each level to replenish your ammo.
        Stomp on them. This skill is useful should you run out of shuriken.
        Collect as many coins as you can.
        You can pick up coins that are strewn all over the level.
        You can also gain coins by hitting box platforms. Some platforms can hold up to 5 coins.
        Avoid getting killed.
        The game has no checkpoints. Dying means starting over from the beginning.

        Top
        
        At the top left corner are the following:
        
        An icon showing your hero
        
        The level number
        
        The number of hearts you have left
        
        At the top center are the following:
        
        The number of shuriken you have left
        
        The number of stars to collect
        
        The number of points you’ve earned so far
        
        At the top right corner are the sound button and the pause button.
        
        Bottom
        
        The buttons to move left and right are on the bottom left corner.
        
        The buttons to jump and attack are on the bottom the bottom right corner.
        
        Navigation
        
        Jump onto platforms to get around the level.
        
        You have limits to how high you can jump. To get to a higher level, use lower levels as steps to higher levels.
        
        Because of this, expect to do a lot of backtracking when collecting coins and other items.
        
        Avoid falling into chasms. That’s instant death.
        
        Lives
        
        Hearts
        
        Hearts serve as your hit points. You start the game with 3 hearts.
        
        You lose a heart each time an enemy hits you.
        
        If you lose all your hearts, it’s game over.
        
        You can collect the limited number of hearts strewn around the level.
        
        Falls
        
        Falling to your death is an instant game over, no matter how many lives you have.
        
        Scoring
        
        Earning points
        
        Each coin is worth 325 points.
        
        Each enemy killed is worth 1,000 points.
        
        Each lightning bolt is worth 2,500 points.
        
        Each star collected is worth 10,000 points.
        
        Star ratings
        
        Your star rating depends on whether you reach the end of the level with all 3 stars collected.
        
        To reach the highest possible scores you must earn a 3-star rating.
        
        Target Audience
        
        The game is suited for gamers who like platforming games.
        
        This game has no adult themed content.
