How to Play

Play Snake Attack game online for free. Snake Attack is a modern colored version inspired by the classic snake game where players must control the snake left or right to collect fruits while avoiding bigger snakes slithering around the map. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. You can play it on mobile devices like Apple iPhones, Google Android powered cell phones from manufactures like Samsung, tablets like the iPad or Kindle Fire, laptops, and Windows-powered desktop computers. All game files are stored locally in your web browser cache. This game works in Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Opera and other modern web browsers.

  • Starting the Game
    • Click or tap the play arrow button in the middle of the screen below the Snake Attack.
      • This will lead you to the “how to play” screen. It will show you the fundamentals of the game.
      • To begin the game, click or tap anywhere on the screen.
        • The game resets everything every time the browser is refreshed..
        • Opening Screen Buttons
          • On the top left corner of the screen is the developer information button. Clicking it will display the developers of the game.
          • The second button on the top left corner of the screen is the full screen button. Clicking it will put your screen in full view. To return, simply select it again or press ESC on your keyboard.
            • On the top right corner of the screen is the sound button.
              • Clicking the sound button on will toggle the sound “on” and “off”..
              • Game Controls
                • Keyboard
                  • Desktop players can use keyboard controls to navigate the snake’s direction.
                    • Press the left and right directional arrow keys to turn the snake left or right.
                    • Holding the button will make the snake move in circles.
                    • Use the mouse cursor to pause the game. The pause button is located at the upper right corner of the screen.
                      • Touchscreen
                        • You can only play the game on the phone and tablet horizontally.
                          • Control the snake by tapping on the left and right arrow buttons on the screen.
                          • The left arrow button is located at the the bottom left corner of the screen, while the right arrow button is at the bottom right corner of the screen.
                          • Tapping left or right will make the snake turn. If you keep pressing an arrow button long enough, the snake will move in circles.
                          • User Interface and Other In-Game Options
                            • Best score is indicated on the top left corner of the screen.
                              • Other snakes will try to eat you and you will lose points depending on the part that was eaten.
                              • While enemy snakes do not actively chase you, you must avoid them at all costs.
                              • The best score is the indication of the last highest score you’ve made before getting attacked by other snakes.
                              • Your current core is located on the top middle part of the game screen.
                                • You can lose a point if you are attacked by other snakes.
                                • There are several buttons located on the top right corner of the screen:
                                  • The first button is the expand button. Click it to put the game in full screen view.
                                    • Clicking ESC will revert the screen back to the original view.
                                    • The second button is the sound button. Click it to toggle the sound “on” or “off”.
                                    • The third button is the pause button. Click to pause the game.
                                      • To unpause the game, simply click the play button located on the middle of the screen.
                                      • Last button is the quit button. Click it to stop playing the current game.
                                        • A prompt will appear asking you “yes” or “no” for confirmation.
                                        • Game Over Screen Display
                                          • Once you’ve lost, you will be re-directed to the Game Over Screen.
                                            • The game will display your latest current score here.
                                            • You will also have the option to:
                                              • Go back to the main screen by clicking on the house button.
                                              • Or play again by clicking on the refresh button.
                                              • Strategy
                                                • This is an full color fruit eating snake game inspired by the classic snake video game. Like the old game, consuming fruits will gain you points and will make the snake longer.
                                                • But unlike its precursor, this version is a lot more challenging, specifically because of the hostile enemy snakes lurking across the map. These snakes must be avoided or they will eat your snake.
                                                  • The goal is to collect as many fruits possible and collect points. Your snake grows longer the more fruits you eat.
                                                  • Enemy snakes quietly slither across the map. While they do not actively chase you, be careful where you go. Do not frequent an area with many enemy snakes.
                                                    • The game has walls. It’s ok if the snake hits a wall. It just bounces back and and will continue to move.
                                                    • You can take advantage of this feature to avoid enemy snakes.
                                                      • The snake can only be navigated to turn left or right. Practice the controls to feel more comfortable with the movement. The more precise your movements, the better you can avoid enemy snakes.
                                                      • Once you’ve mastered moving your snake, you can collect as many fruits scattered across the map more safely.
                                                        • A good tip is to tap or click the left or arrow key slowly to avoid losing control or moving toward areas with enemy snakes. If you’re not careful, you might slither into enemy territory.
                                                          • The game gets more challenging the longer your snake gets. When you’re longer, it’s easier for enemy snakes to bite and consume you.
                                                            • Unlike the classic snake game, you can collide into your own body. This does no damage to your snake at all. It’s the enemy snakes you need to be wary of.
